Founded in 2011,
Founded in 2011, The House of Kadence, a faith-based, culturally specific nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Black women who have experienced domestic violence, homelessness, or involvement with the Child Welfare System due to domestic violence. Our mission is to assist these women on their journey to healing, self-sufficiency, and self-advocacy, and self-autonomy while ensuring all interactions are conducted with the utmost respect and dignity. We proudly serve the Metro Detroit area, including Wayne County and select cities in Oakland County.
Our vision at The House of Kadence is for all Black women to live their lives free of violence, systematic abuse, and trauma in the state of Michigan.
Our core values at The House of Kadence are courage, collaboration, diversity, equality, integrity, compassion, and respect.
